CEDARBURG, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's tennis team was defeated 8-1 by St. Norbert and 6-3 by Concordia (Wis.) on Saturday afternoon at Cedarburg High School.
St. Norbert 8, UW-Stevens Point 1 | BoxKatelyn Asfeld (Waukesha, WI/Waukesha West) took the first set of her match at No. 1 singles against Elizabeth Manlick in a tiebreaker, 7-2, and went on to record a 7-6 (2), 6-4 win for UW-Stevens Point (5-13). St. Norbert (20-6) won each of the other five singles matches in straight sets.
Erin Lemmer (Wausau, WI/Wausau East) pushed Nancy Chybowski in the first set at No. 3 singles, dropping it in a tiebreaker by a 10-8 score, before Chybowski took the second 6-1. St. Norbert also claimed the three doubles matches, losing no more than three games in any of the eight-game pro sets.

Katelyn Asfeld (Waukesha, WI/Waukesha West) and Hanna Treseder was the lone match to go to a super tiebreaker.
Nicole Thorson was the lone singles victor for the Pointers, recording a 6-4, 6-4 win over Jessy Sapp at the fourth spot. Thorson also teamed with Asfeld for an 8-1 win at No. 1 doubles. Sammy Gengler and
Kaylee Roberts (Baraboo, WI/Baraboo) were also victorious in doubles by an 8-2 score at the third position.
