HILTON HEAD, S.C. – Nicole Thorson was victorious in both singles and doubles but the UW-Stevens Point women's tennis team fell 6-3 to Edgewood College on Wednesday afternoon.

Samantha Gengler (Slinger, WI/Slinger) for a 9-8 (7-3) win at third doubles for UW-Stevens Point (5-10). Edgewood (13-6) got straight-set victories from Morgan Wilson, Anna Miles and Ashli Paulson at the top three singles spots.
The Eagles also got a singles win from Molly Protz and doubles points from Wilson and Miles and Fuller and Paulson in the win. Maller was victorious by a 6-4, 6-3 scoreline at sixth singles for her first collegiate singles win.
UW-Stevens Point faces Ramapo (14-2) on Thursday, March 19 at 11 a.m. EST in its fourth match in Hilton Head.
