RIVER FALLS, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point claimed its second conference win in as many days by defeating UW-River Falls 6-3 on Saturday morning in a Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) match.

Emily Kleist (Muskego, WI/Muskego) and
Nicole Thorson (Ripon, WI/Ripon) each picked up singles wins and teamed up for a victory at No. 1 doubles, while
Jordan Tyjeski (Beaver Dam, WI/Beaver Dam) also won in both formats.
Kleist and Thorson edged Anna Ebernsperger and Kelly Mendel 9-7 at the top doubles position to earn their second-straight win. Tyjeski and
Frances Weiss (Sussex, WI/Sussex-Hamilton) cruised to an 8-0 win at third doubles against Lea Zuem and Karli Helland.
Kleist and Thorson breezed through their singles matches at No. 2 and No. 3 singles, as Kleist beat Ebernsperger 6-0, 6-3 and Thorson topped Molly Deering 6-0, 6-2. The pair have each won two matches in a row after picking up wins against UW-Stout on Friday.
Tyjeski closed out Zuem in a second-set tiebreak 6-1, 7-6 (5), while
Elizabeth Wilichowski (Sussex, WI/Sussex-Hamilton) dropped just three games in a 6-2, 6-1 win over Helland at sixth singles.
UW-Stevens Point closes out its fall regular-season schedule by hosting UW-Eau Claire on Friday, Oct. 16 at 3 p.m. at University Courts.
