Six-game winning streak snapped with 3-1 setback to St. Norbert

Box Score STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's hockey team saw its six-game winning streak come to an end on Saturday afternoon with a 3-1 loss against the Green Knights of St. Norbert College at Ice Hawks Arena.

Trailing 1-0 midway through the first, Josie Johnson (Waunakee, WI/Waunakee) evened the score at 1-1 with her second goal of the season.

In the second, the Green Knights went in front for good, when Rachel Koppang scored to give St. Norbert the 2-1 lead. A late third period goal by the Knights made the final 3-1.

Janna Beilke-Skoug (Madison, WI/East) tallied 27 saves in net, suffering just her second setback of the season.

UW-Stevens Point (12-2-1) next plays host to No. 9 Gustavus Adolphus Jan. 10-11. Game time Friday is set for 7 p.m. from Ice Hawks Arena.
