RIVER FALLS, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's hockey team (11-14-0, 5-7-0) dropped the regular season finale at No. 1 UW-River Falls (23-1-0, 10-1-0) by an 8-0 final.
UWSP goaltender
Anne Beck (Grandville, Mich./Grandville) allowed just a single goal against in the first period making 28 of her 61 saves in the opening stanza.
The Falcons scored four times in the second period and added three more goals in the third period.
Riley Novak (Oakdale, Minn./Tartan) and
Jenna Britz (Maple Grove, Minn./Wayzata) had a team-high three shots apiece. UWRF goaltender Jordan O'Kane made 12 saves.
The Pointers await next weekend's WIAC action to determine their opponent in the semifinal round beginning on Feb. 27. UWSP will be the three-seed in the WIAC Tournament.
