Box Score DE PERE, Wis. – The fifth-ranked UW-Stevens Point women's hockey team scored three second period goals, earning a 3-1 nonconference victory over the Green Knights of St. Norbert College Friday evening at the Resch Olympic Pavilion.

The host Green Knights took an early 1-0 lead, scoring just four minutes into the first period.
Allie Tanzer (Chippewa Falls, WI/Chippewa Falls) responded for the Pointers in the second period, scoring back-to-back goals midway through the period to give the UWSP the 2-1 advantage.
Janel Winters (Fairbanks, AK/West Valley) capped the scoring for the Pointers with 48 seconds remaining in the second period with her first of the season, pushing the lead to 3-1.
Janna Beilke-Skoug (Madison, WI/East) tallied six of her 26 saves in the third period to keep the Green Knights at bay, giving the Pointers their sixth straight victory.
The Pointers (12-1-1) and Green Knights (5-5-1) close out the weekend home-and-home series on Saturday, Jan. 4 with a 2:30 p.m. contest at Ice Hawks Arena in Stevens Point.
