Box Score RIVER FALLS, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's hockey team overcame 1-0 and 2-1 deficits on Friday evening but two goals in the final 1:22 by host UW-River Falls sent the Falcons to a 4-2 victory in the weekend series opener at Hunt Arena.

Emily Lester (Eau Claire, WI/Memorial) tallied both goals of the game for the No. 6 Pointers (13-4-1, 5-2-0 WIAC), her first coming at the 11:43 mark of the first period, knotting the score at 1-1. Her second goal of the night was again an equalizer, this time at the 16:18 mark of the second period.
Scoreless through much of the third, the host No. 5 Falcons (13-3-2, 4-2-1 WIAC) tallied two late goals to pull away for the victory.
Janna Beilke-Skoug (Madison, WI/East) suffered the loss in net, recoding 45 saves in net. The Pointers were out-shot on the evening, 49-22.
The Pointers and Falcons take to the ice at Hunt Arena Saturday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. in the final game of the weekend series.
