Box Score EAU CLAIRE, Wis. – Four different players scored as the No. 7 UW-Stevens Point women's hockey defeated UW-Eau Claire 4-3 for the second straight night, completing a weekend sweep of the Blugolds on Saturday night.

Four different players scored for UW-Stevens Point (9-1-1, 5-1 WIAC), who lead 4-1 in the final two minutes of the game. UW-Eau Claire (1-7-2, 0-5-1 WIAC) scored twice in the final minute and a half of the game, including once with nine seconds left.
The teams were tied at 1-1 after the first period.
Megan Nickelson (North St. Paul, MN/North) gave the Pointers a 1-0 lead with her first goal of the season at 13:46 of the opening period on assists by
Shauna Bollinger (Menomonie, WI/Menomonie) and
Cassandra Salmen (Stillwater, MN/Stillwater). Just 37 seconds later, however, the Blugolds hit back with a power-play goal by Amanda Kane.
The score remained tied for over 20 minutes until Salmen gave UWSP the lead again late in the second period. Salmen's fifth goal of the season was set up by
Meredith Ingbretson (Hayward, WI/Hayward).
The Pointers then extended their lead to 4-1 with a pair of third-period goals.
Josie Johnson (Waunakee, WI/Waunakee) scored her first goal of the season midway through the third period before
Allie Tanzer (Chippewa Falls, WI/Chippewa Falls) tied Salmen for the team lead in goals with five off another assist by Bollinger. Tanzer's goal, the eventual game-winner, came on the power play little more than two mintues after Johnson's.
Late goals from Sam Knuton and Katie Burkey for UW-Eau Claire made the final score 4-3.
UW-Stevens Point outshot UW-Eau Claire 53-30 in the game led by eight shots each from Salmen and
Emily Lester (Eau Claire, WI/Memorial). Paige Turner made 49 saves in net for the Blugolds but took the loss.
Hillary Drake (Mosinee, WI/Mosinee) kept out 27 UWEC shots to pick up her third win in three starts this season.
The Pointers look for their fourth consecutive win as they travel to St. Thomas next weekend.
