Box Score MOORHEAD, Minn. – Three different players scored as the UW-Stevens Point women's hockey team picked up its third win of the season by a 3-1 margin over Concordia-Moorhead at Moorhead Sports Center on Saturday afternoon.

Allie Tanzer (Chippewa Falls, WI/Chippewa Falls) led the Pointers (3-0-1) with a goal and an assist.
Kendall Nelson (Tomahawk, WI/Tomahawk) and
Jamie Ertl (Menomonee Falls, WI/Menomonee Falls) were the other goal scorers for UWSP. Ellen Rethwisch's goal with seven seconds remaining was the lone goal for Concordia-Moorhead (0-2-1).
Tanzer opened the scoring at the 8:45 mark of the opening period. The goal was her second of the season. UW-Stevens Point outshot Concordia-Moorhead 11-4 in the first 20 minutes of the game.
The Pointers extended their lead to 3-0 after two periods by scoring twice in the second. Tanzer found
Jamie Ertl (Menomonee Falls, WI/Menomonee Falls) for Ertl's first goal of the season with nearly four minutes played in the second.
The third UWSP goal came on the power play when
Kendall Nelson (Tomahawk, WI/Tomahawk) picked up her first goal of the young season. Nelson's power-play goal was assisted by
Megan Menotti (Vernon Hills, IL/Chicago Mission) and
Cassandra Salmen (Stillwater, MN/Stillwater), who leads the team with five points.
Janne Beilke-Skoug backed up her Friday shutout by making 19 saves on her way to recording her second win of the season. Madison Denny made 28 saves for the Cobbers, who were outshot 31-20 for the game.
UW-Stevens Point begins its Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) schedule by hosting UW-River Falls next Friday night and Saturday afternoon.
