Allie Tanzer (Chippewa Falls, WI/Chippewa Falls) scored at the 1:07 mark of overtime as the UW-Stevens Point women's hockey team completed a weekend sweep of visiting St. Olaf with a 3-2 overtime win on Saturday at Ice Hawks Arena.

Tanzer's goal was assisted by
Rachel Reynard (Hortonville, WI/Hortonville). The Pointers (2-0-0) had established a 2-0 first period lead but the Oles (0-2-0) came back to force overtime behind two goals from Margot Fleming.
Shauna Bollinger (Menomonie, WI/Menomonie) opened the scoring for UWSP with five minutes remaining in the first period. Bollinger's goal was assisted by
Hannah Smith (Spokane, WA/East Valley) and
Janel Winters (Fairbanks, AK/West Valley).
Bollinger then returned the favor by setting up Smith's power-play goal late in the first period. The Pointers outshot the Oles 12-6 in the opening period.
However, Fleming scored a pair of power-play goals to send the game into overtime. Fleming's first goal came at the 18:14 mark of the second period and was assisted by Alana Patrick and Kira Clunis. She then scored with 53 seconds remaining in regulation.
St. Olaf scored on two of nine power plays, while UW-Stevens Point was was one of four. UWSP outshot the Oles 38-21, including 15-5 in the third period.
Hillary Drake (Mosinee, WI/Mosinee) made 19 saves in the win for the Pointers.
UW-Stevens Point hits the road for a series against Concordia-Moorhead next Friday and Saturday.
