Box Score STEVENS POINT, Wis. – Emily Lester (Eau Claire, WI/Memorial) scored with 1:16 remaining in the third period to left to give UW-Stevens Point women's hockey a 2-1 win over No. 10 UW-River Falls Friday evening at Ice Hawks Arena.

Cassandra Salmen (Stillwater, MN/Stillwater) scored the game's opening goal 3:25 into the first period, giving the Pointers the early 1-0 lead over River Falls.

In the second, Kait Mason scored at the 2:19 mark to knot the score at 1-1.

With time winding down in the third period, Lester sent home an Allie Tanzer (Chippewa Falls, WI/Chippewa Falls) pass to give UWSP the lead and the victory.

Janna Beilke-Skoug (Madison, WI/East) tallied 32 saves on the evening while her counterpart Gillian McDonald stopped 11 of UWSP's 13 shots on target.

UW-Stevens Point (4-0-1, 1-0-0 WIAC) and UW-River Falls (2-2-0, 0-1-0 WIAC) return to the ice Saturday afternoon at Ice Hawks Arena. Action is set for 2:30 p.m.
