Freshman Bri Piepenbrok (Merrill, WI/Merrill) has carved out a role for herself in her first season with the Pointers. The defensive specialist/libero has played in all 31 matches and 106 of 109 sets and is fourth on the team in digs (233) and service aces (19). In her senior season at Merrill High School, Piepenbrok led her team with 718 digs and was named a second team all-conference and first team all-region player. Her teams won conference championships in her junior and senior seasons and were three-time regional champions. In 2012, she helped lead her team to a third-place finish in the state, which was the first time Merrill had made is to state in 30 years. Piepenbrok was also named to the All-Academic Team for three years and was a Scholar Athlete Award winner as a senior.
