GREENWOOD, Ind.-- Four members of the UW-Stevens Point volleyball team,
Tessa Erlandson (Kenyon, Minn./Kenyon Wanamingo),
Olivia Paukner (Prairie Du Sac, Wis./Sauk Prairie),
Lauren Shaw (Gurnee, Ill./Warren Township) and
Carly Thomka (Muskego, Wis./Muskego) were recognized as College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honorees, the organization announced Tuesday (Dec. 16).

Erlandson earned her second-straight academic all-district nod. She played in 31 matches this season. Early this season, Erlandson reached the 1000 dig career milestone. She ended the season ranked 15
th in the conference and second on the team in service aces with 37 and ranked third on the team in digs with 249.

Paukner picked up her first academic all-district honors. She played in 30 matches while starting in 27. Paukner ended the season ranked 15
th in the conference and second on the team in blocks with 60 and ranked fifth on the team in kills with 146. She was named to the Blugold Alumni Weekend Invite All-Tournament Team and the All-WIAC Sportsmanship Team.

Shaw earned her second-straight academic all-district nod. She played in 26 matches while starting in 23. Shaw ended the season ranked eighth in the conference in kills per set with 2.81, ranked 12
th in the conference in points with 287 and led the team in kills with 261. This season, she was named to the All-WIAC Honorable Mention Team.

Thomka picked up her first academic all-district honors. She played in 30 matches while starting in 29. Thomka ended the season ranked 11
th in the conference in blocks with 90, 13
th in the conference in service aces and points with 38 and 340.5, respectively, and 14
th in the conference in hitting percentage with .244. This season, she was named to the Papa John's Invite All-Tournament Team and All-WIAC Team.

Student athletes selected must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50, be a sophomore and compete in 90 percent of the institution's matches played or must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's matches.
