LA CROSSE, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's tennis team suffered two tough losses Saturday afternoon, falling to UW-La Crosse 8-1 and NCAA Division II Winona State 9-0.

In the first match-up of the day the Pointers were downed by the Eagles by a score of 8-1

The No. 1 doubles team of Rachel Brown (Neenah, WI/St. Mary Central)/Taylor Weuve (Green Bay, WI/Preble) recorded the lone victory of the day for the Pointers, defeating Hartwick/Blanton by a score of 9-7.

In the second match-up of the day the Pointers were shut out by the Warriors 9-0.

The Pointers return to action Wednesday, Sept. 12 when they travel to Appleton, Wis., to take on Lawrence University.
