GREEN BAY, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's tennis team closed out the spring season on Saturday afternoon with a pair of losses, falling to St. Norbert 8-1 and Wisconsin Lutheran 7-2 at Western Racquet and Fitness Club.

Rachel Brown (Neenah, WI/St. Mary Central) and
Taylor Weuve (Green Bay, WI/Preble) collected the lone doubles victory of the day for the Pointers in the day's opening match against the Green Knights. The tandem posted an 8-3 win at No. 1 doubles against Nancy Chybowski and Laura Michel.
Monica Preisig (Wausau, WI/West) and
Kristen Finstad (River Falls, WI/River Falls) each took their singles matches at No. 4 and No. 6 to a third set super tiebreak, but came up just short falling 10-5 and 10-8, respectively.
Against the Warriors, the Pointers posted a victory at No. 3 doubles as Finstad and
Katelyn Presti (Janesville, WI/Parker) teamed up for a 9-8 victory.
In singles action,
Allison Fortier (Rhinelander, WI/Rhinelander) posted a 6-4, 6-1 win at No. 5 for the second UWSP win of the match.
The Pointers wrap up the season 2-15 overall, 1-5 against WIAC opponents.
