BROWN DEER, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point captured its 13th consecutive Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Men's Swimming and Diving Championship following three days of competition at the Walter Schroeder Aquatic Center on Feb. 18.
The league trophy for the Pointers is the 16th in program history and 15th in the last 16 seasons. They compiled 874 points to surpass the second-place total of 753 points by UW-La Crosse. UW-Whitewater finished third with 632, UW-Eau Claire fourth with 541, UW-Oshkosh fifth with 305 and UW-River Falls sixth with 169.

Joey Clapp (Faribault, MN/) was chosen the Performer of the Meet and head coach
Al Boelk earned the Coach of the Year award.
Day three saw the UWSP men secure three more conference championships, pushing the team's total to 10 over the three day event. Clapp amassed an impressive seven conference titles, three as an individual and four as a member of champion relay teams. UWSP also set three conference records at the event.
The UWSP women, the two-time defending champion of the event, finished third behind champion UW-La Crosse and second-place UW-Eau Claire.
On day three, the Pointers
Anna Nyland (Eau Claire, WI/) secured a conference title with her title in the three-meter dive. Her performance earned her Diver of the Meet honors.
An All-Sportsmanship Women's Team was chosen for individuals that displayed exemplary sportsmanship throughout the season. It included one member from each school. Named to the squad were: UW-Eau Claire's Kia Kraft, UW-La Crosse's Sarah Swanson, UW-Oshkosh's Melissa Harvey, UW-River Falls' Sarah Koch, UW-Stevens Point's
Diandra Nero (Green Bay, WI/) and UW-Whitewater's Megan Kohnke.
The All-Sportsmanship Men's Team included UW-Eau Claire's Ben Epperly, UW-La Crosse's Patrick Schulze, UW-Oshkosh's Bobby Theer, UW-River Falls' Justin Arneson, UW-Stevens Point's
Sam Davy (Stevens Point, WI/) and UW-Whitewater's Adam Altenburg.
