STEVENS POINT, Wis. – Allie Tanzer (Chippewa Falls, WI/Chippewa Falls) and Erin Marvin (Shoreview, MN/Mounds View) each tallied goals on Friday evening as the UW-Stevens Point women's hockey team skated to a 2-1 victory over Concordia University at Ice Hawks Arena.

Tanzer got the scoring going just 1:20 into the contest to give the Pointers the 1-0 edge.

Concordia's Marie Melton knotted the score at 1-1 with just one second left in the opening period, sending the teams into the first intermission tied.

In the second, Marvin scored the eventual game winner on the power play at the 11:31 mark off assists from Nicole Schaub (Vadnais Heights, MN/White Bear Lake) and Cassandra Salmen (Stillwater, MN/Stillwater), putting UWSP in front 2-1.

In the third, Janna Beilke-Skoug (Madison, WI/East) stopped all three CUW shots on net to seal the 2-1 victory for the Pointers.

UW-Stevens Point (11-11-2, 10-8-1 NCHA) and Concordia (7-14-3, 5-12-2 NCHA) take to the ice in the final contest of the regular season for both teams. UWSP will celebrate Senior Day with a 2:30 p.m. start.
