LAKE FOREST, Ill. - UW-Stevens Point jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the first period on Sunday afternoon, but could not hold off the Foresters of Lake Forest College, who scored four unanswered goals, including the overtime winner, to secure the 4-3 victory.

Cassandra Salmen (Stillwater, MN/Stillwater) tallied two goals for the Pointers early in the first period to give UW-Stevens Point the early lead.

Erin Marvin (Shoreview, MN/Mounds View) added the Pointers third goal of the afternoon at the 17:52 mark of the opening period and UWSP took a 3-0 advantage into the first intermission.

In the second, Lake Forest tallied goals at the 5:46 and 11:26 marks to edge back into the game, but still trailed 3-2 heading to the third.

In the final period, the Pointers battled to hold the one-goal lead until the Foresters' Marissa Weber lit the lamp at the 17:38 mark of the period, knotting the score at 3-3.

In overtime, it was Weber who again provided the heroics, scoring on the power play with just 1:52 remaining to give Lake Forest the overtime victory.
