EAU CLAIRE, Wis. – Senior Jon Bockman sent home the game winner with 2:01 remaining in overtime to give UW-Stevens Point the victory 4-3 victory and snap No. 3 UW-Eau Claire's 11-game unbeaten streak at Hobbs Ice Arena.

Brooks Postgame
Trailing 1-0 midway through the opening period,
Kyle Politz (Apple Valley, MN/Apple Valley) posted a pair of goals, his third and fourth of the season, in the final five minutes of the opening stanza to give the visiting Pointers a 2-1 lead after one.
UW-Eau Claire answered back in the second, scoring two goals in the period to tie and then retake the lead, 3-2 heading to the final period.
In the third,
Scott Henegar (Trenton, MI/Trenton) scored his second of the season off a Nick Kenny assist at the 4:07 mark to even the score at 3-3.
In extra time,
Johnny Meo (Vernon Hills, IL/Ursuline) found Bockmann as he found the back of the net with his third goal of the season, giving the Pointers a weekend series split.
Brandon Jaeger (Champlin, MN/Champlin Park) earned the victory in net for the Pointers, stopping 29 shots in the extra-time win. Brandon Stephenson of UW-Eau Claire tallied 27 saves but gave up the Bockmann game-winner in overtime.
UW-Stevens Point now returns home to K.B. Willett Arena for a weekend series with UW-Stout Dec. 7-8. Action both nights is set for 7 p.m.
