MEQUON, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's hockey team scored three unanswered goals en route to a 3-1 win over Concordia Friday night.

Concordia grabbed a 1-0 lead late in the first period, but two minutes later Emily Lester (Eau Claire, WI/Memorial) tied the game with an unassisted power-play goal.

Nikki Kloes (Antigo, WI/Antigo) put the Pointers on top in the second period with a power play goal assisted by Cassandra Salmen (Stillwater, MN/Stillwater).

Less than one minute later Allie Tanzer (Chippewa Falls, WI/Chippewa Falls) provided the insurance goal on a power play, assisted by Kloes.

Hillary Drake (Mosinee, WI/Mosinee) recorded 23 saves in the win for the Pointers.

The Pointers outshot the Falcons 26-24.

UWSP and Concordia faceoff again in Mequon, Wis., on Saturday, Nov. 10 at 2 p.m.
