STEVENS POINT, Wis. - The UW-Stevens Point women's hockey team skated to a 1-1 tie against Lake Forest College Saturday afternoon at Ice Hawks Arena.

The Pointers (5-1-2, 4-0-2 NCHA) got the scoring started on a goal from
Emily Lester (Eau Claire, WI/Memorial) 12:45 into the opening period off an assist from
Cassandra Salmen (Stillwater, MN/Stillwater).
After a scoreless second period, Lake Forest's Melissa Paluch found the back of the net during a power play 6:50 into the third period to knot the score at 1-1.
Goalkeeper
Janna Beilke-Skoug (Madison, WI/East) was tough in the net for the Pointers as she finished with 36 saves.
Lake Forest (1-1-2, 0-0-2) goalkeeper Jenna Brankin finished the game with 27 saves.
The Pointers will travel to defending league champion UW-River Falls Nov. 30 for a weekend series against the Falcons. Action is set for 3:05 p.m.
