STEVENS POINT, Wis – The UW-Stevens Point women's hockey team came back from an early 2-0 deficit Friday evening to force a 2-2 tie against Lake Forest College at Ice Hawks Arena.

The Foresters scored the first two goals of the game, one coming less than two minutes into the game and the other seven minutes into the second period.

UW-StevensPoint's Allie Tanzer (Chippewa Falls, WI/Chippewa Falls) took over from there, scoring both of the Pointers' goals on the night. Tanzer's two goals improves her season total to eight, which leads the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA).

Goalkeeper Hillary Drake (Mosinee, WI/Mosinee) recorded 19 saves on the evening while her counterpart Jenna Brankin recorded 28.

With the tie Friday evening, the league-leading Pointers remain unbeaten in NCHA play.

UW-Stevens Point and Lake Forest face-off again Saturday afternoon, Nov. 17. Action set for 2:30 p.m. at Ice Hawks Arena.
