Blugolds defeat Pointers 9-0

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's tennis team fell to 1-7 overall and 0-4 in conference play on Friday afternoon, suffering a 9-0 defeat at the rackets of UW-Eau Claire.

Rachel Brown (Neenah, WI/St. Mary Central) and Taylor Weuve (Green Bay, WI/Preble) lost a close match at No. 1 doubles to the Blugolds' Heltne/Gillman by a score of 9-7.

UW-Stevens Point will host the UW-Oshkosh Titans on Thursday, Oct. 11th, match set for 3:30 p.m. Thursday marks the Pointers' last match before the WIAC conference tournament October 20-21st.
