ST. CLOUD, Minn. – In the season-opener for all three teams, the Pointers picked up wins over conference foe UW-Eau Claire on both the men's and women's side, downing the Blugolds but dropping both match-ups against the Huskies.

Joey Clapp was a double winner for the Pointers in the 50 and 100 freestyle, posting times of 20.90 and 46.30, respectively, defeating swimmers from both St. Cloud and UW-Eau Claire.
