STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's hockey team notched its third shutout of the season Friday night, defeating St. Scholastica 2-0 at Ice Hawks Arena.
 
After a scoreless first period, UWSP scored its first goal two minutes into the second, thanks to an unassisted goal by Brooke Hanson (Maple Grove, MN/Maple Grove).
 
The Pointers' second goal came at 5:24 in the third period, this time off the stick off Allie Tanzer (Chippewa Falls, WI/Chippewa Falls) with an assist from Hanson.
 
Janna Beilke-Skoug (Madison, WI/East) recorded 17 saves in the win, while the St. Scholastica's Shannon Connolly tallied 15.
 
UWSP (9-5-2, 8-2-1 NCHA) and St. Scholastica (9-4-3, 7-3-1 NCHA) will conclude the weekend series Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Ice Hawks Arena.
