KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The UW-Stevens Point men's swimming team is in 11
th place the women are 25
th after day two of the four day 2011 NCAA Division III Championships at the Allan Jones Aquatic Center.
Highlights from the second day of competition included:
Men's 200 free relay team finished 7th, as Matt Olp, Joey Clapp, Ryan Farmer and Sam Davy posted a time of 1:21.95, good for All-American status.
Women's 200 free relay finished 15th as Lisa Clemens, Jess Nordstrom Kelly Kading and Andrea Wagner swam a time of 1:36.55. The finish is good for honorable mention All-American status.
Ryan Farmer earned an individual All-American award with his 7th place finish in the 100 fly, posting a time of 49.38.
Men's 400 medley relay team finished 15th and the women's 400 medley relay was 16th as both earned honorable mention All-American status.
The Pointers return to the pool for a third day of action on Friday, March 25th.
