GREEN BAY, Wis. – Erin Marvin (Shoreview, MN/Mounds View)'s power play goal with 22 seconds remaining in the first period, her fourth of the season, was all the UW-Stevens Point women's hockey team needed as they secured a 1-0 victory over St. Norbert College.

Marvin took advantage of the St. Norbert penalty to find the back of the net on a Nicole Schaub (Vadnais Heights, MN/White Bear Lake) pass as time was running out in the game's opening period to give the Pointers a 1-0 edge heading into the first intermission.

The second and third periods saw the Pointers offense continue its barrage of the Green Knight's defense, as UWSP outshot host St. Norbert 29-21. 

On the defensive end, freshman Janna Beilke-Skoug (Madison, WI/East) stopped all 21 shots the Green Knights put on net to earn the shutout victory. 

UW-Stevens Point (4-2-1, 3-2-0 NCHA) and St. Norbert (4-5-0, 3-3-0 NCHA) conclude the home-and-home series Saturday evening, Dec. 3 at Ice Hawks Arena in Stevens Point.
