STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point women's hockey team skated to a 1-1 tie with St. Olaf Saturday at Ice Hawks Arena.

The first two periods were scoreless for both squads, but St. Olaf's Margot Fleming put the first score on the board early in the third period, scoring on a power play.

The Pointers would answer late in the third when Michelle Lunneborg (Richfield, MN) buried a rebound at 17:25. Chelsea Pomeroy (Beloit, WI) was credited with the assist.

In overtime, the Pointers held the Oles to four shots on goal but could only muster two shots of their own.

Janna Beilke-Skoug (Madison WI) recorded 34 saves for the Pointers while St. Olaf's Sam Ubl tallied 32.

UWSP (1-0-1) will be back in action Friday, as they will host Marian at 7:00 p.m. at Ice Hawks Arena.
