LA CROSSE – The UW-Stevens Point women's tennis team suffered two losses on Saturday afternoon in La Crosse, dropping the day's opening match to Division II Winona State and then falling to UW-La Crosse in the conference opener.

Leah Benn (Stevens Point/SPASH) picked up the lone victory of the day for the Pointers, as she won her singles match against UW-La Crosse's Olivia Hartwick 5-7, 6-3, 10-7.

The Pointers (1-2, 0-1 WIAC) return to action on Wednesday, Sept. 15 when they host Lawrence University in a match beginning at 3:30 p.m.
