WHITEWATER – The UW-Stevens Point women's tennis team dropped their match 9-0 on Wednesday afternoon against the three-time defending conference champion UW-Whitewater.
The Warhawks took all three doubles matches and completed the 9-0 sweep with six singles victories, allowing the Pointers just nine game victories in six matches.
Rachel Brown (Neenah, WI/St. Mary Central) came closest for the Pointers, taking three games from her first set match at No. 1 singles but still fell short 6-3, 6-1.
The Pointers (4-5, 1-4 WIAC) return to action on October 12 when they travel to Green Bay for a 7 p.m. match-up with St. Norbert College.
