GREEN BAY – Leah Benn (Stevens Point/SPASH) and Allison Fortier (Rhinelander, WI/Rhinelander) tallied singles victories on Tuesday evening but the Green Knights of St. Norbert College came away with all three doubles victories and the four other singles victories to hand the Pointers a 7-2 loss.

Benn and Fortier each needed a third set tiebreaker to secure their victories. Benn earned a 6-4 victory in the first set but fell 6-1 in the second to force the tiebreak. A back-and-forth battle ensued with Benn earning the upper hand and the win, 12-10.

Fortier also needed the third set tiebreak after earning a victory in the first set 7-5. Her third set tiebreaker ended in her favor, 10-5.

The Pointers (4-6) return to action on Saturday, Oct. 16 in their final regular season match of the season, a conference tilt against UW-Oshkosh. Match time is scheduled for Noon at the Goerke Tennis Courts.
