ADRIAN, Mich. - The ninth-ranked Bulldogs of Adrian handed the tenth-ranked Pointers a 3-1 defeat on Saturday evening behind a hat-trick from Alexis Glenn in non-conference women's hockey action at the Arrington Ice Arena.

Adrian, who has announced they will join the NCHA next season, improves to 18-5-1 overall while the Pointers fall to 13-5-6.

Adrian struck first, as Alexis Glenn scored on the power play at the 12:14 mark giving the Bulldogs the 1-0 advantage.

Kellye Nelson (Lino Lakes, MN, Centennial) answered back for the Pointers just over two minutes later on the power play, knotting the score at 1-1 with her eighth goal of the season off a Rachael Graves (Bemidji, MN, Bemidji) pass.

In the second, Glenn struck again, this time on an even strength goal at the 9:04 mark of the period. In the third, Glenn notched her third goal of the game and sixth of the season, again on a power play opportunity, sealing the 3-1 victory for Adrian.

d'Andra Phillips (Swartz Creek, MI, Swartz Creek) recorded 30 saves on the evening for the Pointers while her counterpart Dana Timm added 34 in holding the Pointers to just one goal. 

The Pointers close out the regular season with the second game of their weekend series with the Bulldogs tomorrow, Feb. 22.
