STEVENS POINT, Wis. – UW-Stevens Point women's basketball head coach Matt Hockett has announced the addition of Jackson Noll and Lindsay Drango as assistant coaches to his staff.

"We've had a tremendous run of assistant coaches over the last four years," said Hockett, "and that continues with Coach Noll and Coach Drango. Their ability to complement our players, staff, and program will makes us complete – We can't wait to get to work!"

Noll comes to UWSP after spending two seasons as the lead assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at UW-Eau Claire. There, his primary responsibilities included recruiting, scouting, defensive strategy, player development and program operations. He played a key role in UWEC improving from 8-17 to 13-12 and moving up 110 spots in NPI rankings.

At UWEC, he coached a WIAC All-Defensive Team selection that led the conference in rebounding and steals. He also recruited a 2025 freshman class that included five WBCA All-Stars, five all-state selection and three Conference Players of the Year among other accolades.

"Jackson was someone I watched as a high school player competing for the late legendary Cuba City coach Jerry Petitgoue and it was clear he was destined for this profession," continued Hockett. "His pedigree, background, and roots in WIAC basketball are among some of the strongest in the state. The passion, work ethic, and joy he brings to the court and beyond makes him a perfect fit for our Pointer family."

He has also been the Team Wisconsin AAU Basketball Club Coordinator and coach since 2021. Noll oversees the program's skill development, recruiting, scheduling, and coaches several high-level teams that compete nationally. During the 2026 season, Team Wisconsin featured 77 All-Conference Players, 8 Conference Players of the Year, 11 WBCA All-State players and 22 middle school players with WSICT All-Tournament honors. Through Team Wisconsin, Noll has built relationships with high school and club coaches from across Wisconsin and the Midwest.

Noll played collegiately at UW-Stout for four seasons. He played in 66 games in his UW-Stout career, recorded 250 total points and helped the Blue Devils to their first winning season in nine years in 2021-22. He earned his degree in applied social sciences from UW-Stout in May 2024. He was also involved with Student Senate during his college career for four years serving as a Student Senator, one year as the Director of Legislative Affairs, and was a representative for more than five University committees.

The Cuba City native played for legendary Wisconsin coach Jerry Petitgoue and went 25-0 in his senior year. Noll earned WBCA and PrepHoopsWI All-State, was a three-time All-Conference player, and was named to the WBCA All-Star team during his high school career. He is Cuba City's all-time record holder for made 3-pointers in a game, season and career.

Drango comes to UWSP after a season on the coaching staff at Walla Walla University. There, she assisted with practice planning, game strategy and player development. She also has coaching experience at the high school and youth levels.

"Part of the winningest class in Whitman women's basketball history, we can't wait to get Lindsay to Stevens Point," said Hockett. "A four-time Division III conference champion, she knows what it takes to succeed at the highest level. Her background in leadership, team development, relationship building, and athlete mentorship align with our team culture and create opportunities for program growth."

As a player, Drango played five seasons at Whitman College helping the Blues win the Northwest Conference Championship four times. She played in the NCAA Tournament with Whitman in 2022, 2023 and 2025. In 2023, she played in the first-ever triple overtime NCAA Tournament game, a win over UW-Eau Claire. She earned her degree from Whitman College in May 2025.
