GREENWOOD, Ind. –
Drew Mistele (Baraboo, Wis./Baraboo) and
Kenny Schultz (Plover, Wis./SPASH) of the UW-Stevens Point baseball team were recognized as College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honorees, the organization announced Tuesday (Jun. 2).

Mistele earned his first Academic All-District honor. The junior started 33 games while playing in 35 games for the Pointers this season. Mistele ended the season with a .313 batting average with 41 hits, five doubles, one triple, six home runs and 27 RBI.
Schultz received his second Academic All-District recognition. The senior started 10 games while throwing 50.2 innings, with one complete game and one shutout. Schultz finished the season with a 2-2 record with 4.80 ERA, allowing 27 earned runs and striking out 41 batters. This season he was named to the All-WIAC honorable mention team.
Along with Schultz,
Tommy Drohner (Plover, Wis./SPASH),
Bryce Ehr (Plover, Wis./SPASH),
Braylen Nystrom (Stevens Point, Wis./SPASH) and
Kamden Oliver (Viroqua, Wis./Viroqua) were All-WIAC selections.
Student athletes selected must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50, be a sophomore and compete in 90 percent of the institution's games played or must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games. For pitchers, a student-athlete must have made at least 17 appearances or pitched 35 innings.
