Twelve Pointers, Across Six Teams, Earn Academic All-District Honors

GREENWOOD, Ind. – Nico Chmelevski (Northville, Mich.), Michael Eftimovski (Toronto, Ont.), Quinton Hill (Coquitlam, B.C.), Blake Norris (Warroad, Minn.), Ethan Jetzer (Milwaukee, Wis./Ronald Reagan), Easton Hull (Waupun, Wis./Waupun), Alexis Winecke (Baraboo, Wis./Baraboo), Brooke Schuenemann (Plymouth, Wis./Plymouth Comprehensive), Aubrey Keeping (Moorhead, Minn./Moorhead), Marissa Van Dyke (Green Bay, Wis./Green Bay Southwest), Emily Griege (Chesterfield, Mo./Westminster Christian Academy) and Grace Torma (Centerville, Minn./Centennial) were recognized as College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honorees, the organization announced Tuesday (June 16).

Chmelevski picked up his second-straight Academic All-District recognition. The junior played in 26 games, recording nine goals and 13 assists for 22 points. This season Chmelevski led the team in points and was named to the All-WIAC men's hockey team.
 
Eftimovski earned his second-straight Academic All-District accolade. The junior played in 27 games this season, recording eight assists and 30 blocked shots. Eftimovski was just third on the team in blocked shots.
 
Hill picked up his first Academic All-District recognition. The senior played in 27 games, recording five goals and eight assists for 13 points. Hill led the team in points per game with four.
 
Norris earned his first Academic All-District accolade. The sophomore played in 26 games this season, recording three assists and 20 blocked shots. To start the season, Norris was named to the Key City Classic All-Tournament Team.
 
Jetzer picked up his first Academic All-District recognition. The sophomore played in 26 matches while starting in 14. Jetzer recorded 211 kills, five service aces, 53 digs and 41 total blocks this season.
 
Hull earned his second-straight Academic All-District accolade. The junior recorded a record of 29-10 in the 184 lbs. weight class, he finished fifth at the WIAC Championships, won the 184 NCAA Region 7 bracket and placed seventh at the NCAA Championships. This season, Hull was recognized as a WIAC Kwik Trip Athlete of the Week for the week of Oct. 27-Nov. 2, the NCAA Region 7 Most Outstanding Wrestler and earned All-American status finishing seventh at the NCAA Championships.
 
Winecke picked up her first Academic All-District accolade. The senior recorded a record of 42-12 in the 103 lbs. weight class, finishing third at NCAA Regionals and seventh at the first-ever NCAA women's wrestling championship to earn All-American status.
 
Schuenemann earned her first Academic All-District recognition. The junior posted a record of 30-15 in the 145 lbs. weight class. In March, Schuenemann earned her third-straight NWCA Scholar All-America honor.
 
Keeping picked up her first Academic All-District accolade. The sophomore played in 14 games for the Pointers, recording 19 goals and 13 assists while picking up 16 ground balls.
 
Van Dyke earned her second-straight Academic All-District recognition. The junior played in 15 games while starting 14, recording 30 goals and 26 assists for 56 points, secured 67 draw controls, caused 19 turnovers and picked up 44 ground balls. Van Dyke was named to the women's lacrosse All-WIAC second team.
 
Griege picked up her second-straight Academic All-District accolade. The junior played in 14 games for the women's lacrosse team with a 5-6 record with 149 saves and 29 ground balls and 11 games for the women's hockey team with a 5-6 record, 410 saves and a GAA of 2.729. This season, Griege was recognized as the WIAC Kwik Trip Women's Lacrosse Defensive Athlete of the Week for the week of Mar. 30-Apr.5 and named to the All-WIAC Honorable Mention team for lacrosse and hockey.
 
Torma earned her third-straight Academic All-District recognition. The senior played in 26 games recording a goal and assist for two points. Torma was named to the All-WIAC Sportsmanship Team this season.
 
Student athletes selected must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50, be a sophomore and fit the following criteria per sport;
Men's and Women's Wrestling: Eligible nominees must be in the lineup for at least 75 percent of TEAM SCORING events (open tournaments, duals) OR compete in their weight class at a conference championship meet. 
Men's Volleyball: Eligible nominees must compete in 90 percent of the institution's matches played OR must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's matches. Liberos, although not counted in stats as a starter, may be counted as such for nominating purposes. 
Men's and Women's Hockey: Eligible nominees must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games played OR must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games. For goalies, a student-athlete must have started at least 50 percent of an institutions games. 
Women's Lacrosse: Eligible nominees must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games played OR must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games.
