FULTON, Mo. – The UW-Stevens Point men's volleyball team (15-11) swept Greenville (7-12) on Friday in Missouri.
Hudson Dresen (Franksville, Wis./Union Grove) posted a season-high six aces in the win. He lead all players with 10 kills.
Ben Feld (Franklin, Wis./Franklin) had a game-high 23 assists.
Sam Jolin (Middleton, Wis./Middleton) added 12 assists and
Liam Robertson (Waukesha, Wis./North) had a match-high 12 digs.
Dresen had a kill and two aces as UWSP rallied to tie the first at 4-4.
Ethan Jetzer (Milwaukee, Wis./Ronald Reagan) added two kills and a block for an 8-6 lead.
Kyle Smith (Waukesha, Wis./West) had a kill and a block in a late 8-2 run as UWSP took the opening set, 25-20.
Jetzer had a block and two kills as UWSP opened the second with a 7-0 run. Dresen had a kill and three more aces as the lead ballooned to 13-1. Jetzer and
Nate Arndorfer (Lino Lakes, Minn./Totino Grace) combined for three-straight blocks to push the lead to 17-2. Arndorfer and
Owen Andersen (Racine, Wis./Case) combined for five kills as UWSP won the second, 25-10.
Dylan Niznik (Antioch, Ill./Antioch Community) had two kills and a block as UWSP opened the third with a 7-3 lead. Arndorfer and Dresen had four kills each as UWSP finished the sweep with a 25-22 win.
The Pointers close out the season on Saturday (Apr. 4) against Franklin and Westminster at 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m., respectively.
