DE PERE, Wis.—The UW-Stevens Point men's and women's track and field teams traveled to De Pere to compete in the St. Norbert Dual, winning seven individual events.
Results
Andrew Vold (Wisconsin Rapids, Wis./Lincoln),
Johnny Vickney (Hastings, Minn./Hastings) and
Casey Ploederl (Clintonville, Wis./Clintonville) recorded first-place finishes for the men. Vold won the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.03. Vickney stopped the clock at 23.20 in the 200-meter dash. Ploederl recorded a leap of 1.90 meters in the high jump to claim first place.
Lexi Brey (Manitowoc, Wis./Lincoln),
Madeline Zirbel (De Pere, Wis./De Pere) and
Brenna Steinagel (Merrill, Wis./Merrill) recorded first-place finishes for the women. Brey claimed first place in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 34.24. Zirbel recorded a leap of 1.61 meters to take the high jump. Steinagel won both the hammer and javelin throw with marks of 43.25 meters and 33.58 meters, respectively.
The UWSP track and field teams are back in action on Friday (Apr. 3) for the Rex Foster Twilight hosted by UW-Whitewater.
