BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—The UW-Stevens Point men's indoor track and field team closed out day two of the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships with Jorden Ukpong (Kronenwetter, Wis./D.C. Everest).

Ukpong opened the shot put with a heave of 16.47 meters. His second attempt of the day was a scratch, leaving his third attempt to qualify for the finals. With Ukpong's third attempt of the day, 17.00 meters, not only did he qualify for the finals he also earned an eighth-place finish and All-American honors.
 
The Pointers open the 2026 outdoor track and field season on March 26 with the WashU Distance Carnival in St. Louis, Mo.
