WHITEWATER, Wis.—The UW-Stevens Point men and women's track and field teams competed in UW-Whitewater's Rex Foster Twilight meet on Friday. The men claimed eight event titles and the women claimed five.

Jorden Ukpong (Kronenwetter, Wis./D.C. Everest),
Jack Marsh (Pulaski, Wis./Pulaski),
Nick Tuchscherer (Stevens Point, Wis./SPASH),
Gavin Fujino (Crystal Lake, Ill./Crystal Lake) and
Jack Gjovik (Eagle River, Wis./Northland Pines) claimed the eight titles for the men. Heetland stopped the clock at 4:04.24 in the 1500-meter run. Mead raced to a first-place finish in the 400-meter dash with a time of 50.58. Ukpong won both the discus throw and shot put with a personal-best mark of 50.65 meters and a mark of 15.29 meters, respectively. Marsh secured a first-place finish in the hammer throw with a heave of 52.30 meters. Tuchscherer recorded a leap of 7.00 meters to win the long jump. Fujino finished first in the pole vault with a height of 4.66 meters. Gjovik won the triple jump with a leap of 14.01 meters.

Carly McCreary (Cumberland, Wis./Cumberland), Kaylee Miller/
Madeline Zirbel (De Pere, Wis./De Pere),
Brenna Steinagel (Merrill, Wis./Merrill) and
Natalie Johnson (Sun Prairie, Wis./Sun Prairie) claimed the five first-place finishes for the women. Princl won the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 15.13. McCreary took first in the 5000-meter run with a personal-best time of 20:11.06. Miller and Zirbel were part of a four-way tie for first place in the high jump with a mark of 1.57 meters. Steinagel secured a first-place finish in the javelin throw with a heave of 36.12 meters. Johnson finished first in the steeplechase with a personal-best time of 11:14.90.
The Pointers are back in action on Friday (Apr. 10) for day one of the UW-Platteville Invite.
