LOUISVILLE, Ky. – UW-Stevens Point softball sophomore pitcher
Morgan Harwood (Neenah, Wis./Neenah) was bestowed National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-America second-team honors, the organization announced on Wednesday (May 28). Harwood is just the sixth softball player in program history to earn All-America honors and the first since 2003.
NFCA Release
Harwood garners All-America accolades after picking up her second-straight NFCA All-Region VIII first team selection. She was also named the NCAA Tournament Oshkosh Regional Most Outstanding Player as the Pointers advanced to their first-ever Super Regional round.
This season, Harwood set school records for starts and appearances with 28 and 41, respectively. She led the conference in both categories and was tops in the WIAC in strikeouts (170) and innings pitched (154.2).
Harwood was named to the All-WIAC first team for the second-consecutive season. She also was named the WIAC Pitcher of the Week twice during the season.
Harwood started a combined no-hitter against Ripon and New England in February and in March, respectively. She has four combined no-hitters in her two seasons at UWSP. She also tossed 4.1 no-hit innings in the NCAA Regional opener against Central this season.
For the 2025 season, Harwood was 16-6 with three saves and a 1.49 ERA. She made 22 appearances this season in which she did not allowed a run against.
