BROWN DEER, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point men's and women's swimming and diving teams finish third at the WIAC Championships (presented by Culver's). The men finish with a final score of 710. The women finish with a final score of 520.
Results
The men were led by
Declan Trant (Downers Grove, Ill./Downers Grove South). He took second in the three-meter dive with a final score of 446.90.
Will Nicol (Green Bay, Wis./Bay Port) placed second in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 1:51.91.
Camden Barwick (Weston, Wis./D.C. Everest) took third in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 46.10.
Ryan Trantham (Mackinaw, Ill./Deer Creek Mackinaw) finished fourth in the 1650-yard freestyle with a time of 16:39.72.
The 400-yard freestyle relay team of Barwick,
Matthew Loy (Mazomanie, Wis./Wisconsin Heights),
Campbell Sullivan (Sun Prairie, Wis./Sun Prairie) and
David Anderson (Madison, Wis./West) finished third with a time of 3:06.88.
The women were led by
Kasey Fris (New Lenox, Ill./Lincoln Way West) and
Hollyn Ambre (Batavia, Ill./Batavia).
Fris finished fourth in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:05.35.
Ambre took fourth in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 53.39.
The 400-yard freestyle relay team of Fris,
Paige Anderson (Forest Lake, Minn./Forest Lake Area),
Kyler Ernst (Fountain City, Wis./Luther) and Ambre placed third with a time of 3:33.55.
