BROWN DEER, Wis.—The UW-Stevens Point men's and women's swimming and diving teams are in third after day one of the WIAC Championships (presented by Culver's). The men have compiled a score of 82. The women have compiled a score of 64.
Day One Results
The men's 200-yard medley relay of
Jacob Biscan (Edina, Minn./Edina),
Will Nicol (Green Bay, Wis./Bay Port),
Campbell Sullivan (Sun Prairie, Wis./Sun Prairie) and
Camden Barwick (Weston, Wis./D.C. Everest) finished third with a time of 1:31.59.
The 800-yard freestyle relay of
Peter McMahon (Whitefish Bay, Wis./Whitefish Bay),
Matthew Loy (Mazomanie, Wis./Wisconsin Heights),
David Anderson (Madison, Wis./West) and
Ryan Trantham (Mackinaw, Ill./Deer Creek Mackinaw) posted a third-place finish with a time of 6:56.27.
The women's 200-yard medley relay of
Kyler Ernst (Fountain City, Wis./Luther),
Lilly Featherstone (Oak Lawn, Ill./Oak Lawn Community),
Kasey Fris (New Lenox, Ill./Lincoln Way West) and
Rose Hansen (Grand Rapids, Minn./Grand Rapids) took third place with a time of 1:46.75.
The 800-yard freestyle relay of Fris,
Hollyn Ambre (Batavia, Ill./Batavia),
Paige Anderson (Forest Lake, Minn./Forest Lake Area) and
Maddy Magle (Sheboygan, Wis./Kohler) finished fourth with a time of 7:44.73.
Ryanne Strausbaugh (Muskego, Wis./Franklin) took fifth in the three-meter dive with a final score of 399.80.
The UWSP swimming and diving teams are back in action tomorrow (Feb. 20) for day two of the WIAC Championships, preliminaries begin and 10:00 a.m. and finals begin at 6:30 p.m.
