Pointers Men Finish Fourth at Leonard “Squig” Converse Invite

WHITEWATER, Wis.—The UW-Stevens Point men's track and field team finished fourth at the Leonard "Squig" Converse Invite. The men finished with a score of 50.
 
Results
 
They were led by Austin Rennhack (Columbus, Wis./Columbus). Rennhack took first in the shot put with a mark of 16.61 meters, a new personal best. He also posted an eighth-place finish in the weight throw with a mark of 16.24 meters.
 
Blake Lobner (Wisconsin Rapids, Wis./Assumption) nabbed a second-place finish in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:59.11.
 
Mason Mead (Wausau, Wis./West) finished second in the 400-meter dash with a time of 50.19.
 
After four events, Gavin Ridge (Onalaska, Wis./Onalaska) is in second place in the heptathlon with a score of 2509.
 
The UWSP heptathlon will wrap up and the UWSP women will compete at UW-Whitewater's Invite on Saturday (Feb. 1), beginning at 12:00 p.m.
