PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point track and field teams competed in the Platteville Invitational, led by the performances of Braedon Gilles (Middleton, Wis./Middleton) and Paige Allemann (Waumandee, Wis./Cochrane-Fountain City).
 
Results
 
For the men, Gilles continued his dominance in the 800-meter run with another win with a time of 1:53.01.
 
Ian Lillquist (New Prague, Minn./New Prague) logged a third-place finish in the triple jump with a jump of 14.37 meters (47' 1.75").
 
Zach Brandenburg (Kronenwetter, Wis./D.C. Everest) took a third-place finish in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 10:19.22.
 
Cade Ravenscroft (Wisconsin Dells, Wis./Wisconsin Dells) earned a fourth-place finish in the javelin throw with a heave of 50.76 meters (166' 6"). He also added a fifth-place finish in the high jump with a height of 2.00 meters (6' 6.75").
 
For the women, Allemann led the way with a fifth-place finish in the 1500-meter run with a time of 4:49.27.
 
Ashley Bartelt (Hartford, Wis./Hartford Union) logged a sixth-place finish in the 400-meter dash with a time of 59.22. Jordan Shamion (Iron River, Mich./West Iron County) also tacked on a sixth-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:08.37.
 
Kassia Marquardt (Sauk Prairie, Wis./Sauk Prairie) registered a seventh-place finish in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 12:57.96.
 
Olivia Greymont (Cedarburg, Wis./Cedarburg) added a seventh-place finish in the Saturday portion of the 5000-meter run with a time of 19:59.70.
 
The Pointers will travel to La Crosse for their next meet at the Esten Challenge (Apr. 19). First events are scheduled for a 10:30 a.m. start.
