BROWN DEER, Wis. -- The UW-Stevens Point swimming and diving team swam at the WIAC Championships (presented by Culver's) with both teams wrapping up day one action in third place. The UWSP men sit with a score of 102 currently 12 points behind of second-place UW-Eau Claire, while the UWSP women rest with a team score of 62 currently 12 points out of a tie for first place.

For the men, the relay team of
Jacob Larsen (Albany, Wis./Oregon),

Gus Grimstad (Decorah, Iowa/Decorah) and
Camden Barwick (Weston, Wis./D.C. Everest) won the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:30.34.

Declan Trant (Downers Grove, Ill./Downers Grove South) took fourth in the 3-meter dive with a personal-best score of 456.35.
For the women, the relay unit of

Paige Anderson (Forest Lake, Minn./Forest Lake Area),
Hannah Scherwinski (Kenosha, Wis.) and Grace Schmitz took fourth in the 800-yard freestyle relay with a time of 7:53.75.
The Pointers resume action at the WIAC Championships on Thursday (Feb. 15). Day two of the championships are set to start with prelims at 10:00 a.m.
