WHITEWATER, Wis. -The UW-Stevens Point women's tennis player's action at the ITA Regionals and Midwest Invite came to an end on Saturday.

Brooklynn Steier (West De Pere, Wis./West De Pere) put up a valiant fight in the semifinals of the Midwest Invite Singles B bracket. After she dropped the first set, 6-0, she rallied for a 6-3 win the second set. Then in the super-breaker, she came up just short, 10-7.

Chloe Leithold (Onalaska, Wis./Onalaska) also dropped a super-breaker in the semifinals of the Midwest Invite Singles D bracket. She also fell in the opening set, 6-2, and rallied in the second set for a 6-4 win. Leithold battled to the end in a 10-8 super-breaker defeat.

Tristin Jantz (Salem, Wis./Westosha Central) and
Jordan Scharf (Wauwatosa, Wis./West) earned an 8-5 win the opening match of the consolation doubles. The duo then fell to a pair from Luther by an 8-6 score.

Quinlyn Mack (Prairie Du Sac, Wis./Sauk Prairie) and
Kyra Hagen (Union Grove, Wis./Union Grove) fell by identical 8-3 scores in the consolation B bracket.

The Pointers return to team play on Oct. 3 for a home conference match against UW-Whitewater. First serve that day is slated for 3:00 p.m.
