AUSTIN, Texas – UW-Stevens Point men's hockey player
Jordan Fader (Rice Lake, Wis./) became just the eighth athlete in UWSP history to repeat as an Academic All-America® selection as he landed on the College Sports Communicators At-Large Second Team, the organization announced Wednesday (June 21).

Fader is just the second UWSP men's hockey player to earn the distinction along with Brandon Jaeger, both players have now won the award twice. Fader was a third-team selection last year and Jaeger garnered first-team honors in 2015 after a second-team nod in 2014.
This year, Fader was the recipient of the WIAC Max Sparger Scholar-Athlete for men's hockey and a WIAC All-Sportsmanship Team member.
He skated in all 30 games with four goals and 14 assists on the year. His 18 points were tied for fifth on the team. Two of his goals came on the power play and he scored the game-winner in the WIAC Tournament semifinals against UW-Stout.
To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his/her current institution. Only First Team Academic All-District® selections advanced to the national ballot for Academic All-America® consideration.
