STEVENS POINT, Wis. – UW-Stevens Point athletics has announced the addition of Molly Stock as assistant men's and women's volleyball coach.
"I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity to be part of the UW-Stevens Point family," said Stock. "I am very excited to be joining such a successful women's program and being part of establishing a new men's program. I can't wait to get to work. Go Pointers!"
Stock comes to UWSP after two seasons as a graduate assistant coach with the women's program at Elmhurst University. She also concurrently was an assistant at Benedictine University with the men's volleyball program for the last four seasons.
During her time at BU, she helped the men's program reach the NCAA Championship match in 2021. The Eagles fell in the title match in five sets to finish as national runner-up. Stock helped the Eagles to NACC regular season titles in 2018, 2019 and 2021.
"We are very excited to add Molly to our staff," said head men's volleyball coach Philippe Abiad. "Molly has the passion and the desire to win. As a former player and current coach, she understands and appreciates the value of the student-athlete. We feel that she will be a big component to the growth of our program, and the continuous success of the women's team."
In her two years at Elmhurst, Stock assisted under two different head coaches and even served in an interim head coach role during the transition. Six members of the Bluejays earned All-CCIW honors while Stock was on staff.
"We are thrilled to welcome Molly to our program," said head women's volleyball coach
Lyndsay Kooi. "Molly has an impeccable work ethic, she values the person over the athlete, and she has a strong background of what it takes to be a successful DIII volleyball program. I believe she will help us raise the bar in all facets of our program."
Stock also was an assistant coach with USA Volleyball at the Great Lakes Region All-Star Championship in 2022. She was a club coach from 2017 to 2019 as the Head 14s Level coach for Team One Volleyball in Aurora, Ill.
