MADISON, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's tennis team closed out the WIAC Championships (presented by Culver's) in fifth place.
Results
Quinlyn Mack (Prairie Du Sac, Wis./Sauk Prairie) took fourth in the No. 2 singles bracket, She won three games over her two makes on Sunday.
Tristin Jantz (Salem, Wis./Westosha Central) placed fourth in the No. 1 singles bracket. She won just one game on Sunday between the second round and third-place match.
Chloe Leithold (Onalaska, Wis./Onalaska) took her second round match, 6-0, 6-0. Then, she won her fifth-place match by a 6-2, 6-1 score in the No. 4 singles bracket.
Brooklynn Steier (West De Pere, Wis./West De Pere) rolled to the win in the fifth-place match at No. 5 singles, 6-0, 6-0.
Grace Henes (McFarland, Wis./McFarland) also took fifth place with a 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 6 singles.
Jordan Scharf (Wauwatosa, Wis./West) won five games in the fifth-place match at No. 3 singles to place sixth.
All three doubles duos placed fourth. Steier and Henes won six games in the No. 3 doubles bracket. Jantz and Scharf at No. 1 and Mack and Leithold at No. 2 both won three games.
Chloe Leithold (Onalaska, Wis./Onalaska) was named to the All-Sportsmanship Team at the WIAC Championships this weekend as well.
