Matt Hockett announced the finalization of his UW-Stevens Point women's basketball team's schedule for the 2022-23 season. The Pointers will play 12 home games at Berg Gym, including a five-game early season homestand.

The Pointers open the season on Nov. 8 at home against Northland. Tip-off that night is set for 7:00 p.m. The last time UWPS and Northland played was in 2019 and was the last time UWSP reached triple digits in a 100-49 win.
Following a trip to Whitewater for a tournament, UWSP returns to Berg Gym for a five-game homestand beginning Nov. 16. The Pointers face St. Norbert (Nov. 16), North Central (Nov. 19) and Lakeland (Nov. 22) at home prior to Thanksgiving. The week after, conference play begins with back-to-back home contests versus UW-Stout (Nov. 30) and UW-Platteville (Dec. 3).
UWSP will travel to Iowa and Minnesota in early December before returning home on Dec. 17 for a 4:00 p.m. faceoff with Ripon, the final home game in 2022.
The Pointers head back to Iowa on Dec. 29 and 30 for the Loras Tournament. The season-long four-game road trip continues in January with league matchups at UW-Whitewater (Jan. 4) and UW-La Crosse (Jan. 7).
The first home game of 2023 will see UW-River Falls comes to Berg Gym on Jan. 11, the first of back-to-back Wednesday night tilts at home. UW-Oshkosh is in town on Jan. 18 to wrap up the first half of league play.
After consecutive road games to close out January, the Pointers begin February with back-to-back home games against UW-Whitewater (Feb. 1) and UW-La Crosse (Feb. 4). The final home game of the regular season features UW-Eau Claire in a 6:00 p.m. matchup on Feb. 11.
Last season, the Pointers finished 11-11 and suffered a double-overtime defeat in the opening round of the WIAC Tournament. All-conference selection
Jamie Pfeifer (Wisconsin Dells, Wis./Wisconsin Dells) leads a group of experienced returners.
Alexa Thomson (De Pere, Wis./West),
Josie Nies (Platteville, Wis./Platteville),
Courtney Krueger (Merrill, Wis./Merrill) and
Gabby Gawlitta (Franklin, Wis./Franklin) all averaged more than five points per game a season ago.
